Reiter's Block, the personal blog of Jendi Reiter posted a poem of his which he wrote in response to a comment. If you have news of writing events that would be of interest to all Kansas Authors Club members, or if you are a member (dues current) who would like to announce an achievement, please submit your news via this form. Carrot Ranch blog, which boasts of “making literary art accessible 99 words at a time!” posted five responses of his to their weekly prompts; the Adirondack Center for Writing posted two responses of his to their weekly prompts; Topeka Genealogical Society fall 2022 issue of their quarterly carried a poem; the Literary Yard posted a brief essay using the existence of writers as proof of the existence of God; In Between Spaces, an anthology on and by disabled writers (with both visible and invisible disabilities) from Stillhouse Press, included two of his poems; Cyperwit, a publisher in India, released his eighth book-length collection of poetry; and he learned that his book of poems, Remnants of a Life, is now available on Hoopla. He wonders: WHAT is going on here??? Congratulations, Duane!

Writing the Land anthology, Foodways, for 2022 (a printed book), was released with three poems of mine all about Meadowlark Hearth Farm near Scottsbluff, NE. Spillhouse Review posted a second poem of mine and said a third one will be posted soon. Tiny Seed Literary Journal posted a poem of his (the tenth with them). The latest issue of Red Coyote has been released with three poems of his. And, Bards Against Hunger accepted a poem of his for their 10th year anthology. Also in October, he submitted thirty-four items during the month. It's a numbers game: the more you send out, the more that is accepted – and not even all of them get published. WOW! Duane L. Herrmann is a member of District 1.
Carrot Ranch posted/published four of my 99-word responses to their weekly prompts. The Adirondack Center for Writing posted/published three of my responses to their weekly prompts. Free Spirit (a publisher in India) notified me that one of their anthologies which a memoir of mine is in, It Was a Mistake, is now available as an ebook, joining several other anthologies of theirs which my work is also in. The second issue of Glacial Hills Review (Summer 2022), from Choeofpleirn Press, with my reflective memoir, 'The Greatest Disaster of My Life,' has now been released and is available on Amazon. And, The Short of It has posted six brief poems of mine. Heron Clan IX, with my poem 'Tame New Friend,' has been released so recently that my contributor's copy has not yet arrived.
